What would you like other microfinance-interested people to know about you?: I have just returned from serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Niger, West Africa. I worked primarily with a community women's group, helping them improve their agriculture practices and sell fruit trees. It was an incredible experience!

In a few words, please describe your interest in microfinance.: After seeing many failed development models and many non-profits with good intentions but bad execution, I realized that the best way to "help" is to provide more business opportunities for people in poor communities. I would like to work in microfinance (domestic or international) and gain the necessary knowledge and understanding of small business development to return to West Africa and create a lending institution.

What microfinance issues would you like to learn more about?: Which models are most successful, how microfinance institutions measure their success, what critiques there are of microfinance, and how to get involved!
